For over 25 years, Clay Campbell has successfully represented clients in complex civil and criminal cases. Prior to founding Campbell Law Group, he was the elected State’s Attorney for DeKalb County, Illinois. He has the rare distinction of having both prosecuted and defended murder cases. He has spent thousands of hours in the courtroom honing his formidable skills as a trial lawyer. Mr. Campbell graduated with honors from Southern Illinois University, Edwardsville, and Northern Illinois University College of Law in 1991. He is admitted to practice law in both State and Federal Courts and has the distinct privilege of being admitted to practice law before the Supreme Court of the United States.

Mr. Campbell has been designated a “Top 100 Trial Lawyer” by the National Trial Lawyer’s Association and is currently a proud member of the Illinois Trial Lawyer’s Association and the Illinois State Bar Association. He previously served as an adjunct instructor at Kishwaukee Community College and served as a panel attorney for the Illinois Appellate Defender’s Office. Throughout his career, he has been a strong proponent of providing indigent clients with quality legal representation.

Mr. Campbell continued his family’s proud history of military service until he was Honorably Discharged from the United States Army and United States Army Reserves in 1990. His family’s service in the military has been traced back to the War of 1812. He is currently a member of the American Legion.
